Cultures from ancient times to the present day have been using clay vessels to slow-cook nourishing meals. This winter be warmed by our display of ceramic casserole pots, soup bowls and serving dishes on loan from Whitehorse Art Collection.

In 1885 a group of progressive young artists set up camp along Gardiners Creek, Box Hill to paint outdoors en plein air. In doing so they captured the distinctive light and character of the bush, and forged an iconic movement now known as Australian Impressionism.
