Whitehorse City Council hosts a range of events, festivals, workshops, tours, exhibitions and programs year-round. Council works with a range of businesses to deliver events to the community, such as Whitehorse Spring Festival and Whitehorse Carols.

Our goal is to support local businesses, artists and performers wherever possible. If you are keen to participate in a range of diverse and inclusive arts and culture events and activations, we want to hear from you!

Artists

If you are a local artist keen to exhibit your work across Whitehorse City Council Facilities, or an art tutor with a passion for teaching visual arts, we want to hear from you!

Expression of Interest – Visual Arts Tutors

Box Hill Community Arts Centre and Strathdon House Precinct are seeking passionate and experienced art tutors to deliver engaging visual arts classes for our community. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your skills and inspire creativity in a welcoming environment. If you have expertise in any visual art form and a flair for teaching, we’d love to hear from you.

Box Hill Community Arts Centre

Box Hill Community Arts Centre invites applications from artists to exhibit within our professional public gallery. Located in the award-winning Box Hill Community Arts Centre building, the light-filled gallery comes equipped with a hanging system, display cabinets, professional lighting and an adjoining lounge/ kitchen area. The Gallery Space is home to a wide variety of exhibitions throughout the year.

All Nations Foyer, Whitehorse Art Gallery 

Artists can exhibit their work in the All Nations Foyer for up to one month, subject to the approval. Applications are considered a year ahead, for the following year’s program.  

Artists are chosen by a sub-committee of the Whitehorse Arts and Culture Advisory Committee and applications are open to all artists living, studying or working in the City of Whitehorse. There may be some costs incurred by the artist, dependent on the exhibition requirements. 

Exhibition proposals are open to all practitioners of all media, including ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, jewellery, sculpture, photography and textiles. Please contact us directly for more information.

Food Vendors

Want to trade at Whitehorse events?

Thousands of people attend the Whitehorse Festival Season each year, and you could be a part of the fun as one of our food vendors. We require a variety of food and beverage vendors for our diverse community at our events.

We are inviting you to apply to participate in 2026-27 Whitehorse Festival Season

Key Dates: 

  • Applications open on Monday 29 June 2026
  • Applications close on Sunday 9 August at midnight
  • Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 24 August 2026

The application may take 15-20 minutes or more to complete.

Spring Festival

Spring Festival applications for 2026 have now closed. 

Be a part of Whitehorse's biggest and most beloved community event Spring Festival. The Festival returns on Sunday 18 October 2026 from 10am till 4pm. Transforming the Whitehorse Civic Precinct and The Round into a hub of creativity, connection and local pride.

Key Dates:

  • Applications open on Monday 1 June 2026
  • Applications close on Sunday 12 July at midnight
  • Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 31 July
  • Compulsory event briefing will be held on Wednesday 30 September 2026 from 4.30pm – 6.15pm
  • Spring Festival held Sunday 18 October 2026 from 10am till 4pm
