This workshop will feature a Bunraku-style Puppetry approach, where puppeteers work together on one puppet in a very hands-on way.

Students will firstly decide on an animal to make collectively, before talking about the anatomy and how it might work mechanically. From this, we’ll move to what it needs to do theatrically and then how it might be operated.

A basic prototype will be made out of cardboard, rope and tape and then multiple students will operate it as a final demonstration.

This workshop is easy, engaging and fun!
