This course is designed to give you the skills you need to accurately depict natural subjects through drawing. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who has experience with drawing, these structured drawing classes will step you through the process of sketching, creating shape using shading, recognising colours and creating texture and detail in a drawing.
You will work through a series of small drawings as a class, with practical demonstrations by your tutor and guidance as you develop your own skills in drawing. Using graphite and then coloured pencil, you will be amazed at how much you can achieve if you are willing to let yourself try!
Subjects may include plants, birds, insects, fungi or other things we discover as we learn together. By the end of the term you should have some new art to hang on your walls, and a deeper appreciation for observing and capturing the natural world through drawing.
