Spring Festival is a day bursting with creativity and community spirit. From live entertainment to hands-on workshops, there is something for everyone to enjoy. 

What's on across the precinct: 

  • Community Performances
    Discover local talent on multiple stages, from music and dance to live band sets.
  • Community Stalls
    Learn something new and explore the 90+ stalls throughout the precinct.
  • Creative Whitehorse Paint-a-Horse Workshop
    A free activity where kids can paint their very own plaster horse to take home. Simply sign up to Creative Whitehorse mailing list on the day to join in.
  • Dreaming Space Circus Workshops and Bubble Shows
    Roll up your sleeves and learn circus skills like juggling or be amazed by bubble workshops and interactive performances.
  • Face Painting
    Brighten up your day with free face painting, a fun favourite for kids above 3 years.
  • Henna Artistry
    New to the festival, discover the beauty of traditional henna with elegant temportary designs.
  • Petting Zoo
    Meet a friendly mix of farm animals, plus adorable bunnies and guinea igs, in this hands-on new addition to the festival.
  • Reptile Encounters
    Kids can meet fascinating reptiles throughout the day and catch one of the three educational live shows.
  • Makers Market
    We're exited to host our very own Makers Market this year! Pick up a handmade treasure or small goods while exploring the precinct.
  • Eco Hub 
    Learn practical tips from both Council and local stall holders for sustainable living with interactive displays and activities.
  • Active Living Hub
    Try something new and get your body moving with our sports, dance and active groups from across Whitehorse.
  • Roving Performers
    Expect the unexpected! Keep an eye out for surprise acts as they pop us around the precinct.
  • Amusement Rides
    Free rides and amusements for kids of all ages.
  • Food Vendors
    Take your pick from two buzzing food courts with delicious options. Each have it's own community stage, so you can grab a bite and enjoy the entertainment.

Getting there

Join us at this years Spring Festival on the grounds of the Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct and, The Round.

399 Whitehorse Rd, Nunawading VIC 3131

The Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct and The Round is well-connected by public transport, offering convenient options for patrons travelling to a show.

  • Bus: McCulloch St/Whitehorse Rd on the 901 route is the closest bus station, only a short walk from the bus stop to venue. The nearby Nunawading Station can also be accessed by the 273, 902 and 735 route.  
  • Train: The closest train station is Nunawading Station, on the Belgrave and Lilydale line. Which is approximately 1km or a 10-minute walk from the event site. From there, you can alternatively take a taxi, ride-sharing service, or catch a connecting bus.
    The Round advises to check for changes to schedules, routes or disruptions of services before taking public transport.  

There is limited parking available at the Whitehorse Civic Centre and Walker Park. We recommend walking, riding your bike, carpooling, or public transport where possible.

Accessibility

Accessibility and Event Inclusions:

There are a number of event inclusions and accessibility features to help support the community.

  • Chill out space: A quiet and calm space away from the festivities, providing patrons an opportunity to break away.
  • Auslan: There are interpreters available at select performances.
  • Changing Places Facility: To support individuals with disabilities and their carers, a fully equipped larger changing facility can be found on the ground floor of The Round.
  • Accessible Toilets: Available in both The Round and Civic Centre.
  • All-gender Toilets: Available at The Round.
  • Parents Room: Available in both The Round and Civic Centre.
  • Accessible Parking: Located in the eastern carpark of The Round, enter via Whitehorse Road.
  • Service Animals: Service animals are welcome at all Whitehorse events. Water facilities will be available.
