Meet Sonja
Sonja Parkinson is a mosaic artist, graphic designer, illustrator and musician. The arts has always been a passion for her since childhood and she is happiest when being creative in any form.
She particularly enjoys sharing her knowledge in teaching mosaics and seeing students blossom in their newfound creativity.
Inspiration
Sonja’s love of mosaics began after losing her home in the Black Saturday bushfires and joined a mosaic group of local bushfire survivors where they made something beautiful from their burnt and broken ceramic remnants.
She found healing in this and loves to share this skill.
Her graphic mosaic style is also inspired by Australian native flora, and her design background is evident in her art.
