In the Year of the Horse, over 150 young artists reimagine a zodiac figure both ancient and familiar. Since 2025, the annual mascot competition has invited children to explore Chinese New Year through imagination, character, and myth.

The exhibition presents Mascot Design, Posters, and Illustration, tracing a journey from early ideas to confident visual expression. Seen through a child’s gaze, tradition softens and transforms, with the horse emerging as a symbol of luck, movement, memory, and care.

Presented by The Association of Australian Youth Arts and Cultures Incorporated.
