Discover the traditional art form of Japanese Sumi-e painting. Artworks will be displayed in the Matsudo Week exhibition in May, showcased at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre gallery. 

Cherry Blossoms are known as sakura in Japan, and are a symbolic flower of the spring. The Cherry Blossom is a reminder of the fleeting nature of life and symbolises the transience of human existence. They are a gentle reminder to live your life to the fullest. 

In this workshop you will be guided by Junko Azukawa to paint cherry blossoms with ink. This Japanese art form is sure to inspire. Materials provided.
