The four walls of the Substation on the corner of Whitehorse Road and Station Street have been painted by Blender Studios (a professional street art company) in April.

The artwork reflects the multiculturalism of the Box Hill area. Patterns and squares represent the patterns of Australian suburbia.  A bright modern version of a mandala, covers two walls and is representative of how many cultures hold importance to the image of the mandala. The final wall is graffiti influenced in colour and shape to appeal to the young people who use the area.
