This tactile exhibition invites artists from the Australian Textile Arts & Surface Design Association to respond to the theme ‘a touch of gold’. Intriguing use of fibre and mixed media define this contemporary display of expressive textile wall hangings, 3D objects and wearable art.
Working with diverse creative practices, sixty ATASDA members have created a rich tapestry of artworks employing fibre, weaving, felting, dyeing, printing, embroidery, and stitch techniques. Historic pieces by renowned Australian textile artists are included in this celebratory exhibition.
