I Wish We Knew These Were The Good Times When We Were In Them: Photography by Wilhelm Philipp

Emerging artist Wilhelm Philipp documents the changing face of Box Hill in this exhibition and accompanying photobook. A local to the area for 26 years, the artist captures his diverse neighbourhood community through a documentary style of photography. In this exhibition the everyday people of Box Hill and their stories take centre stage. The artist has recorded his local surroundings almost daily since 2019, and the exhibition features images that reveal the area's dramatically changing urban landscape. Philipp seeks to preserve this moment in the history of Box Hill and chart the process of change, while celebrating citizens past, present and future.
