This fun and engaging course introduces children to drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media techniques through creative, seasonal projects. Students will explore how the environment changes from winter to spring, using colour, line, texture, and pattern to express their observations and ideas.
Throughout the term, children will experiment with collage and mixed media to create winter-themed artworks, develop painting skills through Australian landscape studies, and explore printmaking techniques to create a special handmade gift for Father's Day. Projects are a mix of short activities and multi-week works, allowing students to build skills while also expressing their individuality.
With a balance of guided learning and creative freedom, this class encourages confidence, curiosity, and the development of each child’s unique artistic style.
